I was brought on to create a series of playful, food-themed illustrations for a range of kids' t-shirts for Cotton On Kids. Wanting to keep the designs authentic and kid-approved, I turned to two of my most trusted consultants—my niece and nephew—and asked them to share their favourite treats. Their answers inspired the entire collection, which featured joyful, hand-drawn graphics of spaghetti bolognese (my nephew’s top pick!), ice cream sundaes, choccy milkshakes, pancake stacks (complete with added toppings on the back), and homemade lemonade (thanks to my niece’s obsession).

The goal was to keep the style bold, energetic, and full of character—something kids would actually want to wear and parents would smile at. I leaned into linework and layered colour to create a screen-printed look that felt retro but fresh. It was a dream project—personal, imaginative, and a total celebration of all the things that bring kids joy.
